What is Hospice
What is "Hospice"?
Historically, “hospice” referred to a resting place on a journey. Medieval hospices provided care and concern for both the body and the spirit of travellers.
Today, hospice care is a holistic approach that strives to give practical, emotional and spiritual support to people at the end of their lives and to their families.
The Vancouver Hospice Society is dedicated to supporting people on their final journey by establishing hospices, respite care, day programs and bereavement services in our community.
