Cottage Hospice

Opening our doors in summer 2026, Cottage is our second location and allows us to provide more people in Vancouver with compassionate hospice care. 

Located at 650 N Penticton St, Cottage has 10 hospice beds, with a home-like atmosphere to bring patients and their loved ones comfort at the end of life.

At Cottage, you’ll get support from our patient-centred, compassionate clinical team with deep experience in palliative and end-of-life care. From nurses and care aides to counsellors and a clinical coordinator, the entire team is available to support patients’ and families’ physical and emotional well-being.

What you can expect from the Cottage Hospice

At our newest location, you can expect what Vancouver Hospice Society has become known for: compassionate, patient-first end-of-life care, with a commitment to dignity, comfort, and respect. 

While this is our second location, it operates alongside our Granville location. Both locations are held to the same values and standards of care. No matter your location, you can always expect to be treated with dignity and respect.

Our commitment to compassionate end-of-life care extends beyond our patients. It’s important that space is held for patients’ families and loved ones. At the Cottage location, families will be able to make new memories and spend meaningful time together, with counsellors available to help navigate the bereavement during your loved ones’ stay in the hospice and afterwards. Grief is an overwhelming experience, and we want you to know that you’re not alone. 

We’re appreciative of the Burrard View community who supported the Cottage hospice under its previous ownership until 2024, and are looking forward to reconnecting with our community here.
